Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Technological Information, Management & Engineering Sciences (JTIMES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing. Peer review is central to ensuring the quality, originality, and integrity of published research.

1. Review Process

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s guidelines.

  • Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent for double-blind peer review, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

  • At least two independent expert reviewers are assigned to each manuscript.

  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on criteria including novelty, methodological rigor, clarity, ethical standards, and contribution to the field.

2. Reviewer Selection

  • Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise, academic reputation, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  • The editorial board maintains a database of qualified reviewers across relevant disciplines.

3. Review Outcomes

Following peer review, the editorial decision may be one of the following:

  • Accept without revisions

  • Minor revisions required

  • Major revisions required

  • Reject

Authors are notified of the decision with reviewers’ comments to guide revision or improvement.

4. Confidentiality and Ethics

  • All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents.

  • Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment.

  • Plagiarism, fabrication of data, or unethical research practices will lead to immediate rejection and may be reported to relevant institutions.

5. Appeals and Complaints

  • Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written justification to the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Complaints regarding the review process are handled in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.

6. Transparency and Integrity

  • The journal follows best practices recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

  • Decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and relevance, independent of the authors’ background or institutional affiliation.
