Withdrawal Policy

The Journal of Technological Information, Management & Engineering Sciences (JTIMES) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic publishing process. Authors are advised to consider carefully before submitting a manuscript. However, in certain circumstances, authors may request withdrawal of their submission. The following policy applies:

  1. Pre-Review Withdrawal

    • Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins.

    • Such requests must be made in writing to the editorial office, with clear justification.

    • No penalty will be charged at this stage.

  2. Post-Review Withdrawal

    • Once the peer review process has commenced, withdrawal requests will only be considered if valid reasons (e.g., ethical concerns, errors in data, duplicate submission) are provided.

    • Authors must submit a signed statement explaining the reason for withdrawal.

  3. Accepted Manuscripts

    • Withdrawal of an accepted manuscript is strongly discouraged.

    • If authors still request withdrawal after acceptance, a formal written request signed by all authors is required.

    • The journal reserves the right to impose an Article Processing Fee to cover administrative and review costs.

  4. Improper Withdrawal / Unethical Practices

    • If a manuscript is found to have been submitted simultaneously to multiple journals, or withdrawn without proper justification after review, the journal may take the following actions:

      • Blacklist the authors from future submissions.

      • Notify the authors’ affiliated institutions of the ethical breach.

      • Publish a notice of withdrawal if necessary.

  5. Editorial Discretion

    • The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board reserve the right to make the final decision regarding withdrawal requests.
